Crime Prevention

The Guilford Police Department Crime Prevention Unit offers a number of free services to town residents and business owners. The crime prevention unit is committed to the concept of citizens and police working together to reduce the opportunities for crimes to be committed. The Guilford Police Department believes in maintaining a strong relationship with residents and in the theory of community policing based on a team approach.

Members of the crime prevention unit are available to educate and assist residents and business owners in all areas of crime prevention and security measures that will decrease the chances of being the victim of a crime. The crime prevention unit is also available to familiarize residents with current crime trends and educate them on what steps can be taken to reduce the occurrence of these crimes.
